The Tartan Celebration event held in Glasgow on 5th June was a huge success and attended by over 80 people. Terry Riley, BDA Chair, was our Guest Speaker at the AGM and gave a talk about the future of BDA /ADA.

The day's celebrations included workshops on the BSL Bill, with talks by Avril Hepner (BDA) and Lilian Lawson O.B.E (SCoD); and SASLI.

Terry was joined by Margaret McSweeney in cutting the celebration cake. Margaret has regularly attended every rally and all events, even though she lives in Dingwall, which is in the far north of Scotland.

The evening included the Jock Yound's Memorial Award, which was presented this year to Oliver Kerr (Rolls-Royce Apprentice).

All in all, a great event, with lots of fun had by all and included plenty of Scottish dancing!
