ALL BDA Courses are delivered by a Culturally Deaf BSL Teacher

 
Introduction to BSL

BSL Level One is designed to allow participants the opportunity to learn the basic skills required to communicate with a Deaf person. (There are no formal entry requirements for this course.)

Intense One-Week Introduction to BSL class

Want to start learning a new Language but just don't have the time to commit to a twelve-week course?

Looking for a challenge whilst gaining a transferable skill?

Then a certificated, intense one-week BSL class is for YOU!

Start Monday 2nd August 2010

(Morning Session 10:00-12:00 | Lunch 12:00 - 13:00 | Afternnon Session 13:00 - 16:00)

Tuition delivered Monday to Thursday (Assessment on the Friday (Time:TBA))

BSL Taster Sessions

Think you would like to Learn to Sign but not sure what it involves...?

Come along and try one of our Taster sessions, each BSL taster is an enjoyable and welcoming introduction to BSL and participants will also be given further information about forthcoming courses.

The BDA ~ Scotland is offering taster sessions on the following dates:

Wednesday 28th July 2010 2pm to 4pm
Wednesday 11th August 2010 10am to 12pm

Foundation B

Learners can progress to this unit upon successful completion of Unit 2. Unit 3 builds on the signs the learner has learned in Unit 2 but further expands the learner's vocabulary. This unit also expands the language function and grammar of BSL

Entry requirements for this course: Students must have successfully completed the BDA's Foundation A Certificate or have an equivalent qualification.

Learners with an appropriate skills base can take the Foundation A assessment (cost £20)
