Deaf Parenting Programme Action Deafness We're making a difference to the lives of deaf parents..... Want to be part of it? Deaf Parenting Programme Parenting Programme Development Manager - £26,000 Action Deafness is the East Midland's leading provider of services to deaf, hard of hearing, deafened and deafblind people. We're a progressive organisation and we get things done. At an exciting time in our development, we now need two self-starters to join our Leicester based team. Working across the organisation, you will work to design and implement a deaf parenting programme that will support, both, the deaf parents of hearing children, deaf parents of deaf children, and hearing parents of deaf children across the City of Leicester. You will be responsible for designing, promoting and delivering the programme, in partnership with a number of agencies and in the communication mode of choice - eg. aural method, British Sign Language and Sign Supported English. With proven experience of working with parents and families, you should have a commitment to the needs of deaf people. The ability to communicate in British Sign Language is necessary for both posts.
