The Federation of Disability Sports Organisations was established in 1993 to promote sport and leisure opportunities for disabled people and our growing team provides the strategic lead for disability sports development in the Yorkshire and Humber region

Working throughout the region and closely with sports providers, county and school sports partnerships and governing bodies of sport, your role will be to develop and implement the strategic plan for Deaf sport development; to co-ordinate sport and recreational strategies for Deaf people, to increase capacity and to support talented athletes throughout the region.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated with a sound knowledge of disability sport structures and sport development principles. Disabled people are currently under-represented in our workforce and we would welcome applications from Deaf/deaf/disabled people.

Candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent, have good communication skills, IT skills and the ability to work both independently as well as part of a larger team.
