How it will work Once you have agreed to take part (by completing the booking form) your school has agreed to raise a minimum of £50 for the BDA. We will then give you a password for the week to log in to our website each day and retrieve a short phrase in BSL. Each day’s video clip will be available to access from 1st July to assist with teachers' planning. This will help if you are unable to participate every day but wish to plan for a specific day. There is an A-Z finger spelling card available to download for each child to use to spell their name in BSL. The daily phrases can be taught to the children either in the classroom or at assembly each morning. Once all monies have been received by the BDA, the school will receive a personalised certificate recognising your support for the charity. Throughout the week there will be support available on 01772 259725 or via sarahm@bda.org.uk We hope that you can take part in this fun and educational campaign. Please complete the booking form as soon as possible to confirm your involvement in Learn to Sign Week 2009. |
