Notice of AGM 2008 GREATER LONDON DEAF ASSOCIATION
Annual General Meeting Dear Member, Greater London Deaf Association (GLDA) is holding an AGM and an election to elect a new official and committee to serve for three years from 2008 to 2011. This AGM is being organised by a Steering Committee. It's time for the GLDA to make a new start. Deaf people in London deserve a proper association! The event will be on Saturday 10th May 2008, from 2pm to 5pm, at Frank Barnes Deaf School, Harley Road, Swiss Cottage, London. It is 5 minutes walk from the nearest tube at Swiss Cottage (Jubilee Line). There will be limited parking available. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided. If you want to stand for election to the new official and committee, please return the enclosed nomination form. If you are interested in standing for election, please fill in the nomination form with a proposer and seconder. All three people (the person standing for election, the proposer, and the seconder) must be members of the BDA. Please post the completed form to Richard Jones, British Deaf Association, 13 Wilson Patten Street, Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 1PG. It must arrive by 5 pm Friday 2 May 2008. I look forward to seeing you all, old faces as well as new. I hope together we can make the GLDA a success for London again. Deaf people need a strong community association that listens to us and represents what we want for the future.
