The University of Manchester, in collaboration with the London Psychometrics Laboratory (UCL) and the Centre for Deafness, Cognition and Language (UCL), has been funded by the Nuffield Foundation to develop a culturally appropriate visual measure of Trait Emotional Intelligence for Deaf British Sign Language (BSL) users.
You will include carrying out publicity and dissemination within Deaf community; development of recruitment materials in BSL; assistance in the translation of the TEIQue into BSL; development of data collection tools; coordination of data collection and monitoring data quality and assist in report-writing.

You will be a graduate or have equivalent experience with a native command of British Sign Language and be confident in working within the Deaf community. You will be a good communicator, have excellent organisational skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work independently and show initiative. Computer literacy, basic data analyses skills, and good writing skills are highly desirable.
Starting date negotiable for a period of five months. This post is available at 0.4FTE.
