Part Time – 35 hours per week – Term Time Only Permanent
Hours worked from 8.45am to 4.15pm
Monday to Friday with occasional shift work
Kent Range 6: £19,415 to £21,296 FTE p.a.
(£10.06-£11.04 per hour) plus pension
This is an exciting opportunity to support a bright and enthusiastic young student, using BSL and acting as an interpreter, within a small class with a team of student support assistants.
The successful applicant will have been BSL trained at Level 3, will support a “total communication” approach with the support of the speech and language team and be expected to complete the Children’s Workforce Diploma at Level 3.
Valence School is a KCC Foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people (from age 4 to 19) with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties.
