Recently BDA Scotland visited Auchmuty High School in Glenrothes in Fife, to deliver a workshop to young Deaf pupils all about human rights. Pupils were also introduced to a number of aspiring Scottish Deaf role models and learned how having a good role model in your life can inspire us and encourage us to aim for greatness.
One pupil said:
“Seeing a Deaf role model inspires me to realise that I can do it, I can work to achieve my dream career”
BDA Scotland would like to thank Auchmuty High School for inviting us along, as well as the Scottish Government and the Equality & Human Rights Fund for providing the resources to allow us to deliver this important training.
