I am very pleased that the Ministry of Justice has finally recognised the need to update the law to allow BSL/English interpreters in the Jury Room in order that they may interpret for Deaf jurors who use sign language.

The BDA have been fortunate to receive funding from the National Emergencies Trust to set up and deliver a BSL Helpline for Deaf people who live in the East Midlands.  Thank you to those people who have shared our previous video with their families, friends and colleagues.

BDA Scotland’s Deaf People Makes Glasgow BSL Trails Project explores Glasgow’s buildings and historical identify within the Deaf community. It is a fantastic opportunity for Deaf young people to learn about the buildings in Glasgow related to Deaf history.
