Happy International Week of Deaf people to everyone from us at the British Deaf Association! The World Federation of the Deaf has announced that this year's theme is 'Celebrating thriving deaf communities', something that the BDA has been doing since 1890!
Deaf people and sign languages are at the heart of what we do and what our work is. We want to see a future where deaf people and our sign languages are fully recognised in legislation.
