The post holder will lead and further develop the specialist Deaf Education Centre within Sedgehill’s Student Support Centre.

Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher: Inclusion, the post holder’s prime responsibility will be to devise and implement strategies to help students meet ambitious progress targets. The post also involves advising staff, parents and carers and delivering training packages to school based staff.  As subject leader you will work with all stakeholders to enable students to become confident, independent learners.

You will have responsibility for deploying a small team of staff to maximise outcomes for hearing impaired learners, and maintain regularly updated records.  You will lead on producing Educational Health Care Plans for hearing impaired students attached to the Centre.
