Date: Saturday 23rd July 2016
Time: 12:00pm to 1:30pm
Venue: BDA Congress – Riviera International Centre, Torquay, TQ2 5LZ
By now, the whole of the UK and Europe are aware of the result of the recent EU referendum, that the UK has voted out and so will leave the European Union.
We at the BDA are aware that many Deaf people want to be able to express their views and concerns about this big decision.
So, on Saturday 23rd July at the BDA Congress, we have created a special slot, after the main speakers and workshops, that will take place from 12 noon to 1.30pm. This is an Open Forum or Soapbox. Members of the Deaf Community can come along and share their views, concerns and comments about the impact relating to the decision to leave the EU.
At this session, we will make notes of all the comments, and then submit them to the European Union of the Deaf (EUD) and also the UK Government to ensure that your views are heard.
This is so important and so please come along and participate and make your views heard (or seen!).
You will need to have a Congress Ticket (1-day ticket or 5-day ticket) to be able to participate this event – purchase ticket here
