Welcome to the BDA
The BDA’s Sign Language Week 2014 “Strengthening Our Rights” is happening next month. It begins on Sunday 16th March and runs until Saturday 23rd March. This is our first ever Sign Language Week. Why are we doing it? On 18th March 2003 the Government officially recognised British Sign Language as a language in its own right. On the anniversary in the past we have held a BSL Day but this year we decided to extend it to a week. You can see what we will be doing around the country elsewhere on the website. On the left hand side there is a list of the national events. For local events around the country click on the link below http://www.bda.org.uk/Events. We hope you can join us for an exciting week of activities.
