We are holding a county wide event in Derbyshire: Deaf People Legal Advice day on Saturday 9th November 2019, 10am – 2pm at Chesterfield Community Centre, Tontine Road, Chesterfield. We are celebrating National Pro-Bono week as well as raising deaf and hard of hearing people’s awareness on where they can go for legal advice for the future.
Deaf People Legal Advice is jointly led by British Deaf Association, Derbyshire Law Centre and Deaf-initely Women with support from Elliot Mather Solicitors, Citizens Advice and Welfare Rights. We will also be supported by BSL interpreters and electronic notetakers. The event will be welcomed by Leader Councillor Barry Lewis from Derbyshire County Council.
