We’re one of the most diverse providers of social care and support for vulnerable people in Glasgow, West Central Scotland and beyond. At any one time we will typically run around 40 different types of projects, delivering support to over 1,500 individuals, their families and communities.
We currently have an exciting opportunity a number of housing support workers to join our team on a relief / session basis. Relief staff are required to work on an “as and when” required basis to provide cover for permanent employees due to sickness, holidays etc. Specifically, we are looking to recruit within our Barrowfield service which is based within the East End of Glasgow.
This service provides housing support opportunities to individuals who are deaf and have additional support needs.
Successful candidates will be flexible in their approach to providing outcome based support for all service users, ensuring that the individuals are in control of their own support.
Due to the needs of the individuals who use the service, the ability to sign is essential therefore successful candidates will be required to evidence that they have obtained a relevant BSL qualification.
Whilst previous relevant housing support experience is preferred, the ability and willingness to support individuals to live a fulfilling is essential. The successful candidate must possess or be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
Salary: £7.85 per hour.
