Last July 2016 at the BDA Congress in Torquay, the BDA awarded Doug Alker the BDA Medal of Honour 2016.
Doug’s award was in recognition of his dedicated work in promoting Deaf politics and for his unswerving work for Deaf people especially the BSL marches.
We finally managed to make the presentation to Doug at the East Lancashire Deaf Society (ELDS) on Tuesday 20th December 2016.
