Hello! I’m David Buxton, the BDA Chair, and I’ve been leading the BSL Act Now campaign.
So why am I here? And what’s this about?
That’s Parliament Square Garden, just next to the Houses of Parliament.
Why’s that there?
I’ve asked Parliament for permission to take over that garden – for Deaf and hearing people and their families and friends to get together for a BSL Bill Rally.
It’s really important.
On the 28th of January, from 11.30am – 2.30pm.
Meanwhile, inside Parliament, they will be debating the 2nd reading of the BSL Bill. So we need to be outside, making some noise. Come on!
Can you join us? It’s really important.
Bring your gloves, warm clothes, colourful gloves, your banners, a hot drink... It’s going to be a cold January morning.
Come on! We want our language, BSL, to finally be recognised. We want to make it happen.
So join us on the 28th of January. Bring your support!
