Hello, you all know me, I’m Jeff Brattan-Wilson, 125 Year Celebration Manager with the BDA. Today I’m here with Michelle Lane, Head of Commercial Development from IPSE – the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed.
MICHELLE:
Hello! I’m delighted to be here today with Jeff to tell you about our exciting event in partnership with the BDA. Jeff approached IPSE about hosting a joint event to celebrate Deaf business owners, freelancers and the self-employed, as part of the BDA’s 125th Anniversary celebrations.
JEFF:
And IPSE said ‘Yes’ to my proposal!
MICHELLE:
So, this joint event to Celebrate Deaf Business Owners will take place on Wednesday, November 18th in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Westminster. The full address will be on the website.
JEFF:
And we have some exciting speakers lined up….
MICHELLE:
Yes, we will have 3 speakers on the night. The first speaker will talk about self-branding and promotion. The second speaker will talk about successfully running your business and managing your taxes.
JEFF:
And speaker number 3 is a surprise!
MICHELLE:
Doors will open at 6pm for a 6.30 start, and we will finish up around 8.30pm – so plenty of time for networking… Places are limited so first come, first served! We will have light refreshments on arrival from 6-6.30pm.

To book your place at this exciting event, a first for BDA, you need to visit the IPSE website at ipse.co.uk, click on News and Events and then select ‘Celebration of Deaf Business Owners’ event and book your place.
