Hello!
The video message is about the forthcoming General Election which is taking pace on 8th June 2017.
Given the issue of access to information for Deaf people in Scotland, BDA Scotland have joined forces with a number of different organisations to host an ‘Equality Hustings’ ahead of the General Election 2017. The poster will give information about the partners to this event.
This will bring together representatives of five different political parties. The panel will include representatives from the following:
- The Scottish National Party
- Scottish Labour
- Scottish Conservatives
- Scottish LibDems
- Scottish Greens.
They will be in attendance, ready to answer your questions before the General Election. It’ll be your chance to ask them about their manifestos and proposals for the future.
The Equality Hustings will take place in Edinburgh – you’ll find the address and all the other details on the poster. Doors will open at 6.00pm for registration and beverages before the event starts at 6.30pm through to 8.30pm.
So, 30th May 2017 is the date for your diary! Come along and find out what each of the political parties have to say and be better informed when you come to vote.
If you want more information, to attend and get tickets, then take a look at the poster and click on the logo to be linked to a website to get your tickets which are free.
There’ll be interpreters provided and if you’ve any questions, do contact me, Avril, at BDA Scotland. I’ll be only too happy to answer your queries.
Do come along! It’s a great opportunity to find out more. See you there!
