Text transcript from BSL video:
Welcome to the BDA.
We would like to inform you of your upcoming event:
“Open Meeting with Derbyshire Police”
This will be held on Friday 26th February from 7.30pm to 9.00pm at Derby Deaf Club, top floor.
Topic to be discussed: “Access to Police Services”
You may remember a few years ago Derbyshire Police and the Office of Police and Crime Commissioners met with the Deaf Community to find out your experiences in accessing Police Services.
After a while, we now have this meeting and will consist of two presentations:
- Jane Birkin will present the improvements that have been made since the last meeting
- The BDA will present the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner funded project. This will include what is crime? How to encourage the Deaf Community to report crime in order to reduce crime
For more information, come to the Open Meeting.
All are most welcome to attend.
If you need anything further, please do contact us.
Look forward to seeing you there.
