Events

24th April 2019

Want to visit the Risk Factory?

Hello, I am James from DRP Scotland.

We have set up an event for young people aged 8-20 from the Central Belt of Scotland.

The event is an outing to the Risk Factory which is a safety centre. We will go in and have a two-hour long tour. You will see a lot of mock scenarios with potential dangers. You will learn how to keep yourselves safe from danger and risks in places like your home, for example, you will learn about the risks associated with overloading electronic sockets, potential trips, fall hazards and how to prevent the risk of electric shocks. You will learn all about these things in the tour and group discussions.

There is a fake street set up to show you how to be safe outside on the street e.g. if you witness an accident, what would you do? You will learn this on the tour.

This tour is on Friday 7th June. There will be two tours available on the day: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please bring your own lunch.

There is a deadline. You can get in touch to ask any questions and request a booking form which you will need to fill in and return to us. Places are limited.

You will need to confirm by Wednesday 29th May at 5pm. You can contact Lesley. Her contact details are shown here: adminscot.drp@bda.org.uk

Hope you will come along. See you there
