Video Intro

The Deaf Roots and Pride Project are delighted to announce that they will be hosting an event to celebrate “Pride in Sign Language” at Jordanstown School, on Sunday 25th March 2018 (1pm-4pm).

We would like to invite you and your family/friends to join us to celebrate the beauty and diversity of Sign Language.

There will be a range of activities for various age groups and a chance to watch comedy sketches and performed songs by “KASAM” (local Deaf duo) – all in sign language.

For young children we will have face-painting, “Ready Steady Sign”, with Anthony Sinclair, a Sign Language reading corner, as well as a play park and various games. Alternatively, come along and catch up with friends and enjoy good banter.

There will be sign language interpreters available to facilitate communication. Lunch will be provided.

I very much hope you would consider attending for even just part of the afternoon and would ask that you RSVP the DRP team on colette.mcmahon@bda.org.uk or text 07540749758
