Salary £17,027 – £18,127 depending on experience (actual)
Hours: 30 per week
Type of contract: Fixed until 31^st March 2017

We are seeking an adviser to work with Deaf clients across Hertfordshire. You will be a regular user of BSL, for example a Deaf person for whom BSL is your first language. Alternatively, you will have reached the National Occupational Standards in interpreting and be registered with National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind people (NRCPD).

The role involves advising clients on a variety of subjects, but particularly focusing on debt and welfare benefits. Citizens Advice adviser training is preferred but not essential. A key part of the role is promoting the service to Deaf people throughout the county.

The role is based in Hatfield and involves working across Hertfordshire, so a full driving licence and use of a car are essential. Mileage will be paid from the office in Hatfield.

A good working knowledge of computer systems is essential.

An enhanced DBS check will be required.
