We are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded £80,000 over two years by the John Ellerman Foundation.
This will help us push forward our Sign Language (BSL and ISL) campaign seeking recognition and a better deal for the UK’s Deaf community.
The grant will allow us to fund work engaging members of the Deaf community in order to build an informed and skilled campaign group working in the UK’s regions.
This is part of the beginning of the implementation of our 10-year strategy, an approach that sets out our priorities and targets for building a better world for Deaf people.

We are hugely grateful for the John Ellerman Foundation’s understanding of the work that is needed to end the harm resulting from over a century of oppression and unfair treatment of Deaf people and their languages.
