Welcome to the BDA.
We would like to let you know of a forthcoming event. It is the North Derbyshire Deaf Forum meeting, which will be held on Saturday 7th November at the usual time of 2pm – 5pm at Chesterfield Deaf Club, Community Centre, Tontine Road, Chesterfield, S40 1QU.
The topic for the next forum meeting is access to Police Services for Derbyshire, we will have 2 speakers on the day to talk to you.
Firstly Jane Birkin –Outreach Officer for Derbyshire Police who will talk to you about the improvements they have made for Deaf People in Derbyshire.
Secondly the BDA will explain about some funding they have received for a project to make sure Deaf People know what crime means and how to report it to reduce crime.
If you wish to come along you are very welcome. There are BSL interpreters booked for the day. If you need any more info please contact us and let us know.
