As we remember this remarkable and warm lady where her talents seemed endless – Dot Miles was widely regarded as the pioneer of BSL poetry, she was not only a poet, she was a playwright, performer, scholar, teacher and passionate activist.

BDA New Chair Announcement
The BDA BOT have accepted the nomination panels decision that Agnes Dyab has met the relevant criteria for the Chair. As a result of this, there will be no Chair election and AGNES DYAB is duly elected as the new incoming Chair 2018-2021
UN declares International Day of Sign Languages
The United Nations General Assembly has declared 23 September as International Day of Sign Languages.
Deaf man to pursue AtW case in courts
The British Deaf Association can report that a Deaf senior executive is taking legal action following implementation of the Access to Work cap.
