Dr. Terry Riley OBE gives his final announcement to all BDA members, Staff, the Board and friends, as Chair of the British Deaf Association

The British Deaf Association’s 2018 Staff Presentation and Annual General Meeting was held in Manchester on Saturday 14th April. Together we paid tribute to our resolute members of the community and took a look back at the BDA’s progress over the past year.

As we remember this remarkable and warm lady where her talents seemed endless – Dot Miles was widely regarded as the pioneer of BSL poetry, she was not only a poet, she was a playwright, performer, scholar, teacher and passionate activist.
