Last week, the Deaf Roots and Pride (DRP) team joined up with Chris Fonseca for a Dance Fit session. Dancing is a whole-body workout that's actually fun. It's good for your heart, it makes you stronger, and it can help with balance and coordination
Our young people also had the opportunity to ask Chris some questions, one of which was “how did you deal with things during lockdown?” Chris replied that it was a challenging not to be able to go out, but it was important to stay positive and use the time to reflect. He also studied for his driving theory test, and other things that were difficult to do before lockdown because he was too busy with dance workshops. So lockdown had a positive side to it for him.
A huge thank you to BBC Children in Need for funding this Dance Fit workshop.
