Call for applications – UN Minorities Fellowship Programme 2016
A unique opportunity to learn more about human rights in Geneva!
Are you interested in learning more about the UN system and human rights monitoring? Do you have good English or Russian language? Are you passionate about sign language rights?
Please consider applying to the UN Minorities Fellowship Programme 2016 which will select people to attend human rights training in Geneva from 7-25 November 2016.
The BDA is the UK’s Ordinary Member of the WFD and we are inviting you to express an interest to the BDA by 15th May with your CV, supporting statement and completed UN Application Form. You should also be willing to train other Deaf people upon your return to the UK from the UN in Geneva, and also, assist the BDA in protecting and promoting human and minority rights.

Shortlisting (and interviewing of potential candidates) will take place in the week of 18th May before submission of applications to the UN with BDA supporting letter.
HOW DO I APPLY?:

Both parts I and II of the application form must be filled in and signed. ALSO, all application forms must be accompanied by an official recommendation letter from the nominating organisation or community (e.g. a National Deaf Association or provincial deaf association). Applications must be fully completed or they will not be considered.
